Jim’s Amazing Do-It-Yourself Probiotic Elixir Maker Kit Handout

1. The Elixir Maker is a narrow-profile six-quart, BPA-free, plastic water jug with spigot, outfitted with an Air Pump and clear plastic airline tubing connected to a barbed fitting in the top fill cap leading to a semi-rigid black HDPE airline with an air stone attached that extends from the fill cap to the heel of the Maker.
2. The Elixir Maker provides each of us the means to make, culture, and grow billions of colony-forming-units of three probiotics on a daily basis, which are commensal, helpful, and treat each of us and our pets as as their host, activates our innate immune systems, heals inflammation and diversifies our microbiomes and helps us develop a feeling of well-being. The Elixir Maker Kit comes ready for start-up with 2 level teaspoons or 4 grams of Probiotic Elixir Powder, added loose inside the Elixir Maker.
3. Each gram of Probiotic Elixir Powder contains two billion-colony-forming- units, 2,000,000,000 cfus of three  Probiotic Bacteria, Bacillus licheniformis, Bacillus subtilis and Pseudomonas fluorescens, freeze-dried and blended with a certified-organic prebiotic mix of 83% alfalfa meal, 10% nutritional yeast & 7% kelp meal.
4. The Basic Elixir Maker Kit includes a 100-gram-resealable stand-up zip- lock pouch of Elixir Powder, enough to make 340 8-oz cups of Elixir.
The Deluxe Elixir Maker Kit includes a 200 gram-resealable stand-up zip-lock pouch of Elixir Powder, enough to make 660 8-oz cups of Elixir.
5. To Start the Elixir Maker, we place it on the Cedar Block provided, 5 inches from the face of the block to the spigot at its high point.
6. Add about six quarts of water to the Maker (non-chlorinated, Brita- filtered, bottled-spring or well-water, filling it to the lower edge of its top- fill cap.
7. Plug-in the Air Pump provided & always keep the air pump running 24 hours per day, 7 days per week                  8. The Probiotics, rod-shaped, 1 micron by 2 microns, in size, become activated when hydrated (wetted), and in a vegetative state; use their imbedded, nanometer-sized motors, with rotors attached to flagella, to propel them within proximity of their prebiotic food.                                                                                                                               9. Probiotics produce all of the enzymes necessary to metabolize their food into units of nutrient that enable each bacteria to reproduce by fission.                                                                                                                                              10. They divide into two identical bacterial daughter cells and repeat this division and replication, to double in their number in the first hour; and they continue to double in their number every half-hour, thereafter, until the probiotics sense that their food is getting scarce.                                                                                                                              11.  At which point, they swarm like bees, birds, and fish do, moving closer together to communicate with each other, having  two-way conversations with each other, called quorum-sensing, billions of probiotics reaching an unknown number, called a quorum, and abruptly, simultaneously drop their nanometer-size motors from where they are imbedded in their entire membrane surface, with the Bacillus differentiating: changing form and purpose.                  12. One of the pair of daughter cells becomes the mother which engulfs the daughter, doubling its amount of genetic material, chromosomes and ribosomes, which are kept bone-dry inside a spicule created by the endospores.                13, The Pseudomonas drop their motors from their polar opposite ends and with the Bacillus endospores, produce an extracellular matrix and settle to a surface in single-file chains, establishing the beginning of the biofilm colony aligning themselves with the Bacillus endospores in single file chains and layers of chains.                                              14. We recommend waiting 48 hours for Jim’s Amazing Probiotic Elixir to be ready to use.                                                15.  The suggested starting dose of the Elixir for personal use, is one half-cup or more in the morning, with coffee or when taking supplements, usually a half hour before meals and another half-cup or more in the afternoon or evening, about 30 minutes before your evening meal or an hour after your evening meal.
16.  If we have any discomfort, at any time, we recommend taking another half cup, not less.                                        17.  After five days, increase this initial amount to a full 8 oz. cup, twice a day.                                                                      18.  Thereafter, we follow our “gut” feeling, to increase this amount to two 8 oz. cups, two or three times a day.
19.  We can add the Elixir to our food, including the making of veggie and fruit smoothies, juices and sauces and in our hot dishes.                                                                                                                                                                            20. The Bacillus probiotics, as endospores are able to handle up to 475 degrees F. oven temperatures.
21.  Each morning, we remove enough Elixir for every member of the household including our pets, to be able to use the Elixir, over the following 24 hours until the next morning.                                                                                              22. Upon removal of the Elixir, each morning, we immediately replace the volume of Elixir that we remove with an  equal amount of clean, non-chlorinated, Brita-filtered or bottled spring water, always keeping the Elixir Maker filled, up to the lower edge of the top fill cap to maintain the optimum circulation.                                                                          23.  For every two cups, or pint of Elixir we replace with water, we add a 1/8 teaspoon of Elixir Powder, loose, and wait  12 hours for its activation before using the Elixir.                                                                                                                 24.  For every (quart) of Elixir we replace with water, add 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon of Elixir Powder, and wait 24 hours for its activation before using the Elixir.                                                                                                                                            25.  If we forget, or happen to use, by accident, chlorinated, ozonated or electrolyzed water, in the Maker, this results in an off-taste and odor of the Elixir.                                                                                                                                       26.  An off-taste is easily remedied by discarding the Elixir Maker’s contents and rinsing its inside surfaces with clean water, using bottled spring water or Brita-filtered water; loosening and removing the spigot and rinsing it well, and replacing and tightening its ring.                                                                                                                                             27.  We start again by adding 4 level 1/2 teaspoons of Probiotic Elixir Powder, loose in the Maker, setting the Maker on its cedar-wood block and adding six quarts of the chosen water, and give it another 48 hours to activate and be ready for the family to use.                                                                                                                                                       28.   This is a live culture of aerobic beneficial, (commensal), helpful bacteria that require air to grow and breathe.   29. We may keep the Elixir in a bottle on the kitchen counter with the cap off, or in a glass or cup on our nightstand, by the bed, on the counter in bathroom or in the fridge with the cap off.                                                                            30. We may leave the Elixir, open to the air, to breathe, as it is not likely to get contaminated.                                        31. These probiotics make antibiotics, Bacillus licheniformis is the source of bacitracin, an antibiotic used for 67 years in Neosporin ointment, with neomycin and polymixin.                                                                                                32. Bacillus subtilis makes 66 antibiotics, lipo-proteins and surfactins, while Pseudomonas  fluorescens, makes mupuricin, effective against MERSA (methicillin-resistant-Staphlococcus aureus).                                              33.  These probiotics make anti-microbials, including nisins and bacteriocins. They also make anti-fungals, anti-virals, and anti-protozoans (anti-parasitics).  They will produce immunoglobulins and inject them into our blood if needed by our adaptive immune system
